It was really just a fun thing to do. My degree is in English, and I've always been interested in language processing by computers: Markov Chaining, sentence parsing and so on. The contrast between the enforced brevity of Twitter and the long meandering sentences of writers like James and Proust led me to create Proustr which posted "Swann's Way" over about a year and a half.
