First, you strongly imply that you were the author of the paragraph you quoted. You were not. (Unless you are Pascal Heus, that is.) Since you're not, you don't have any grounds to claim the (alleged) genius behind it.

Second, that thesis paper doesn't support your argument nearly as well as you suppose, because

(a) The language the author proposes is truly an XML language, while yours is not; and
(b) He did not invent the concept of XML-based programming languages. In fact, they've been around for at least 10 years, and there are tons of them out there, including Ant, XAML, MXML, XUL/XBL, XSLT, o:XML, Water, etc. etc.

Since we're on the subject of XML-based programming languages, I refer all interested to this fascinating article, one of whose conclusions is that XML is a really crappy syntax for a programming language: Extensible Programming Systems for the 21st Century by Dr. Gregory V. Wilson, 2004.

I reckon we are the only monastery ever to have a dungeon stuffed with 16,000 zombies.
