suno has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
Hi PerlMonks!,...
I am working on a tool which converts assembler to some language.... i have a CODE file that has my code..for example LA VAR1,R1, MACRO file that has a set of macros taken from the code.for example.. @OPEN arg=VAR1, LIBRARY folder that has the list of macro files... Here, i have to capture 'VAR1' from the CODE file and search for 'VAR1' from the MACRO file and get the corresponding macro..here in the above example, my macro is '@OPEN'... then making note of the macro,i need to go to the LIBRARY and search the macro that we have noted earlier (@OPEN) and retreive the data corresponding to the variable VAR1(data will be VAR1's length,datatype,value)... Can this be achieved using perl???
