thanks tobyink for another good piece of software,

but you can kidly expand a bit which kind of feaures you put in your yet another template system?

Recently a meditation about templates took place and speed was stressed. I read that being at the end perl's coderef your templates must be fast: you tried some bench with big templates too?

You say module that allows you to embed Perl in your templates but is not the tendence to extrapolate templates from source code?

I ask such things while having still no practical experience in differences between templates usage within perl, so i'm interested in what you put more stress developping this module (having tried similar thing me too in the past, for a mailer system)

Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
