Hi,
If your computer really started to smoke and flame, please turn it off, unplug it from the wall, and call the fire department if necessary. Visual Basic should have nothing to do with your Perl install. I assume you're trying to install ActivePerl 5.6 or 5.8. There is plenty of fine documentation for installing and using ActivePerl. Perhaps you can be more verbose about what your problem is? What errors are you seeing, what have you tried, and what did you expect to happen? If you computer does not boot, at all, this is not a question for PerlMonks. Please consult a computer store or someone familar with PC hardware. And please refrain from expressions like "shat flames". You might only be 12, but we'd like everyone to speak and act maturely. Thanks. Cheers, ibanix $ echo '$0 & $0 &' > foo; chmod a+x foo; foo; In reply to Re: My computer broked down after perl install
