I would like to suggest not being so hasty to dismiss everything not directly related to accepting credit-cards. I know that once you reach a certain level of knowledge and capability that it becomes difficult to understand the haze which clouds the vision of those who are less accomplished. But it is my understanding that Perl Monks is here as a place to learn and share, for the advanced and novice alike.
If you are an advanced member, dont shoot some question or topic down because you as an advanced member have advanced beyond a need to discuss it. The not-so-advanced still may reap great benefits. Everyone must go through a learning process to become advanced. Shared experience and lessons from mentors are part of that learning process.
Dont dismiss. Be a mentor, or be silent so those willing to mentor can be heard.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
