Good point!
Still it's hard to enjoy anything during December with all that christmas markets, shopping crowds, and all of the work that is to be done before the Christmas break.
Although I chose the 'New Year' option, I start to wonder - with those 'pagan' options possible: when does the new year begin? The calendar clearly says 1st January. Christians begin their year on the first advent Sunday, pagan rites said to do so in the night of Halloween.
What other dates of 'New Year' are there around the world? if anyone can tell some more ...

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
