( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

Enlightened Fellows
I beg you please don't laught at me. Trying to accomplish the task on this meditation, I just noticed that I was ignoring the most powerfull features in Perl just because I know almost nothing about the Perl Internals. This is a shame, but I need to admit that I have no idea on where shall I start to learn the Perl Internals.

OK, ok, not all the truth: I know that the chapter 20th or 21th from the Camel Book is entitled "Perl Internals". This could be a nice starting point, but I'm not sure if my book stills up-to-date (I have a 5 years old copy).

Is there anything like a "Idiot's Guide to the Perl Internals" on the web?

Anybody could please point this lost pilgrim the shortest path to the nearest monastery? Its late and I need some safe place to make my prayers.

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
