Of course if you have been on a discussion list for more than a few minutes, for sure you saw things like this:
#!perl # Emacs, this is -*- perl -*-
use warnings;
use strict;
use Person::Stub;
use ACME;
use ACME::Catalog;
my $me = new Person::Stub( 'Luis' );
my $nilson = new Person::Stub( 'Nilson' );
my $acme_factory = new ACME( operator => $me );
my $fire_suit = ACME->factory->build(
$ACME::Catalog->{Suites}{Militar}{FireProof}{Heavy}
);
$me->helps( $nilson->wear( $fire_suit ) );
__END__

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
