ah yes, that took down some of the complexity of the code quite a bit, and I will post the revision tommorow once I am in work again. Another thing I noticed is the fact that each time it finds a MATCH INTERFACE type, it goes and gets a relist of all of that type of card, which extends the overhead of the program with time and processing. I think the $knownthing was supposed to be part of that future logic, but it didnt get into a final revision =\
Thanks for your input it was greatly needed!

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
