I'm feeling a bit immature today...
Being a Programmer is a lot like being a member of the worlds oldest profession because...
1.) They both begin with 'P'.
2.) You don't want to admit your involvement to certain people.
3.) You start by experimenting, then doing it for fun, then for a few friends, then as a special favor, and finally for money. http://trig.com/jord/blog/2007/7/13/post/24991
4.) You have to always worry about what's getting mounted, how much forking is going on, knowing that some Wang's are never any good, and you try not to create too many children.
5.) Really bad dental and vision plans.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
