I went ahead and counted both my copies of Programming Perl, even though the old edition just serves as part of the 'wall o' books' bookend.
How many O'Reilly books would be a really terrifying question...There was a day last month when I went on a binge and bought 12 (had to celebrate getting a new job :).

<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
