Good point ...
BUT only for this cooked down example. We actually need to get data from
that perl call back into the main program. That is database access via DBI, reading
(and parsing ;-) of text-files, evaluating perl code that gets some configuration etc....

<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
