I wonder if an RT queue might be a good tool for keeping track of requests and suggestions. It works well in other contexts and requests could be linked back to nodes on PM for discussions.
A few items from my wish list:
- I too wish there was a preview on the update page.
- I wish there was a preview on the scratchpad edit page.
- I wish there was an easy way to find responses to my own posts. An optional filter on Newest Nodes so that it only showed nodes in threads I had posted to would be very nice. A count of responses on the list on Perl Monks User Search would also be helpful.
update: actually, there is a preview on the scratchpad edit pages - I just didn't see it because I never thought to look down for it instead of up top where it is on the comment edit page, and it was always just off the bottom of my screen.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
