Perl also provides methods for controlling applications, sending key presses and other input device control which can be used for automation, e.g. Win32::GUITest. There are also modules for controlling 'real' browsers and doing all sorts of clever things with the mechanics, e.g. WWW::Mechanize::Chrome. Internet Explorer is past EOL.	[reply]
