swampyankee has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I work at a small private school. I'm looking for a module that will allow scheduling classes for the students, taking into account all sorts of restrictions.

Do any perl-based scheduling programs or perl modules exist for this kind of scheduling? I could roll my own, but I'd rather take advantage of the work of others ....

Thanks! I'll give that a try first. We've got fewer than 50 students, but we also have a scheduling nightmare because of small classes (max is 6), and small staff (only 10 full-time equivalent teachers)
