perlknight has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi, I am trying to search and store attributes form a search using the DN as the base parameter. I am having problem with it, it returns with a count of 0 according to $result->count method. Any idea? Thanks.

    Well, some...
    • bad base dn
    • bad filter
    • bad scope definition
    • bad ldap hostname
    • bad port
    • bad program
    Oh. The last item - got some? :-)

    Post your code.

    --shmem

    _($_=" "x(1<<5)."?\n".q·/)Oo.  G°\        /
                                  /\_¯/(q    /
    ----------------------------  \__(m.====·.(_("always off the crowd"))."·
    ");sub _{s./.($e="'Itrs `mnsgdq Gdbj O`qkdq")=~y/"-y/#-z/;$e.e && print}

    No, sorry - I'm fresh out of ideas.

    What have you tried? Maybe seeing what you've already worked through and where you're having trouble with it might spark an idea or two.

    --chargrill
    s**lil*; $*=join'',sort split q**; s;.*;grr; &&s+(.(.)).+$2$1+; $; = qq-$_-;s,.*,ahc,;$,.=chop for split q,,,reverse;print for($,,$;,$*,$/)
