in thread howto uninstall a package/module

If you wrote the module yourself, you are the one responsible for providing clean uninstall method for it.

If you used MakeMaker for creating a Makefile (I'm assuming that is what you did), it should create an uninstall target for you, so, if you installed your module with make install, you should be able to uninstall it with make uninstall from module's directory.

Anyway, you should provide more details (how did you install this test module? windoze ppm? perl -MCPAN -e "install Test::Module"? make install?

    I used h2xs -AX ABC::Test
    Than I installed it like:
    perl MakeFile.PL make make install
    Now if I type: make uninstall I get the following message:
    Uninstall is unsafe and deprecated, the uninstallation was not perform +ed. We will show what would have been done. no packlist file found: at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.7/ExtUtils/Install.pm l +ine 318. make: *** [uninstall_from_sitedirs] Error 2

    Any suggestions ?

      This is evil, but would work. Reinstall the module you wrote with a version = version + 0.01 . Look at what it says it's doing. (Eg, copying file asdf.pm to /usr/local/perl5/5.8.0/site_perl/asdf.pm or simliar) As an appropriate user, rm -rf those files it says it's copying (if all you're doing is pure perl module). If you used h2xs binding to a library... then you're beyond my knowledge and I wish you good luck... :) Cheers.
