ActiveState Perl comes in two forms, assuming a windows system install and that you got the distribution from ActiveState: One is an msi install package, and the other is a zip file which you extract. The msi package takes care of some things for you that you would have to do by hand if you get the zip file. You can find both here -> ActiveState Site
