In Perl this becomes

object->method(argument)->{property} = value;

So for example this code from VBA:

ActiveChart.Axes(xlCategory, xlPrimary).CategoryType = xlCategoryScale

becomes this in Perl:

$Chart->Axes(xlCategory, xlPrimary)->{CategoryType} = xlCategoryScale;
