    marconi,

    this is your third post seeking help with the Korn shell. You already have been told to post such questions on sites or newsgroups discussing Korn shell issues.

    Are you aware this is PerlMonks, not KornMonks?

    BTW, it's Korn shell, not Korne.

    --shmem

    _($_=" "x(1<<5)."?\n".q·/)Oo.  G°\        /
                                  /\_¯/(q    /
    ----------------------------  \__(m.====·.(_("always off the crowd"))."·
    ");sub _{s./.($e="'Itrs `mnsgdq Gdbj O`qkdq")=~y/"-y/#-z/;$e.e && print}

    I am very new to Korne Shell Scripting. I have a bit complicated issue :-

    I personally believe we were not clear enough - what is so fu**ing difficult to understand in: "this is not the right place to ask ksh questions?"

    marconi,

    Are you looking to implement this in Perl rather than Korn shell scripting? If not you should read the PerlMonks FAQ.

    Hi,

    Hare you talking about Korn shell (ksh)? Well, in that case it's difficult to find help in a Perl forum. :-)

    But you can try do it in Perl. With something like this ..

    perl -ne 'if(/^##\d+\.\+d##/) { print; }' /home/stat/temp/*
    good luck
