ORLY? Did you try it? With which perl version? My rock solid 5.8.8 died with `Can't find string terminator "'" anywhere before EOF at foo.pl line 13 +.` [download] The last single quote is escaped by a backslash, so the string literal is never terminated.	[reply] [d/l]

No it doesn't, it fails with the error message `Can't find string terminator "'" anywhere before EOF at winstupid.pl line 13.` And looking at the last line of the code it is easy to see why. I used to believe you were just a bit thick or maybe disadvantaged in your learning abilities. But given today's threads, as well as the comment about marto in the CB I agree fully with moritz.
