rayzit has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi, porting an application from apache/mod_perl to mod_perl2 on MAC OSX 10.5 (PPC) i encountered some difficulties using the libapreq2 module. Runnning make test showed that it is not installed correctly and displayed the following error message:
/usr/bin/perl -MTest::Harness -e 'runtests(@ARGV)' version.t
cookie.t params.t parsers.t error.t util.t
version....ok

make2: *** test Error 255
make1: *** test Error 2
make: *** library_test Error 2
There is but few about this error on the web. Would be great if someone knew a workaround or solution. Thanks a lot!

    Probably best to try and work out why tests 36 and 37 failed. You can run util.t alone (and with verbose output) with perl -Mblib t/util.t

    Maybe just install the module, anyway .... not recommended, but there's a chance that the problem that causes tests 36 and 37 to fail won't affect you. (You should, at least, first establish precisely what it is that fails.)

    Cheers,
    Rob
