    my objection is that THIS IS PERL ! not C or assembly.
    Perl borrowed from many languages, and raised the borrowed memes/idioms/constructs to a new level, e.g. the "magic goto". Now that's very perlish. Is there any other language which features that kind of stack spoofing? ;-)
