Long term computer programmer, analyst and consultant, getting to grips with Perl, UNIX and related areas such as HTML & javas‎crip‎t after (too) many years working with areas such as COBOL, multi user proprietary mini systems and the like. Missing COBOL, for all it's many failings, it was easy to read someone else's code, and self documented, and the presence of a space in what looked like the right place didn't screw the runtime as it can with Perl <g>. It's better than the BASIC we had to use on one of the minis though.
