Could you please be more specific about what exactly you want to have removed and according to which clause of this directive you cite?

If it's privacy, you are free to empty your account, politely ask the gods to change your account's name and throw the password away.°

Furthermore this could be informative for you: Please Delete Me

I've wanted my name to be changed for a long time. The one I started with was actually based on a fusion of my then girlfriend's info and a facebook friend. Now that she and I are not together, it only reminds me of the past in a bad way. I'd rather be named after one of the zillion stars out there like "Aldebaran."

I've "been told" that the only way to get your name changed is to start over with a new identity, but what is the point of having perl gods if they can't pull off something like this? Why wouldn't the gods like me well enough to give me a name I'm comfortable with? I play by the rules around here, and say "please" and "thank you."

        Can I change my username?

NOTE: I AM NOT A LAWYER, JUST AN INTERESTED BY-STANDER. In no way should the following be construed as more than just a noting of facts, and if there is an error, please point it out for correction. Thank you in advance.

According to the EUR-Lex website, Directive 95/46/EC was repealed/superseded by 32016R679 (also known as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)), and is no longer valid after 2018-05-24.

As noted by the OP at the time of this writing, the "problem [is] undergoing mediation".

(As I was composing this, I saw LanX's post, which stated what I was thinking (but in a clearer form).)

The relevant sections survived in the new directive - repealed isn't always the same as reversed - not that it matters anymore in this case.
