Today, and not for the first time, I saw a new PerlMonk visitor frustrated about trying to post a question. He (like many before him) was confused by the buttons available: Preview, and New.

"New" makes sense to someone familiar with the node-based layout, but to the average new visitor, it means "reset". Can we change the "New" Button to something more intuitive, such as "Post"?

I agree. I'm kind of partial to Stumbit.

100% agreement with both my distinguished co-monks swiftone and Adam. i remember this confusing the crap out of me when I was but a novice. Ah, to be young and confused again.

I also agree. Even us infrequent posters get a bit confused when we first see the buttons. Another item along this same idea that confuses me a bit is that after you press "new" you see your post in the same box with a view of it above. First time I saw this I wasn't sure if my comment had actually been posted or if I was simply seeing a "preview" of the post. I almost pressed new again. After pressing a "Submit" button I would like to go back to the view where I see the original post and all replys below it so that I actually see my post showing up immediately. I can then always click on the post to edit if needed.
