I am going to write some modules that should interact with the LSF on our local computing farm and before re-inventing the wheel, I had a quick look around on CPAN to see what's there already.

I found

• LSF, which seems to be rather ancient
• LSF::Base which doesn't have much in the way of documentation
• Grid::Request which seems quite well documented and has the added advantage of working across several job distribution systems.

I would love to hear from others who are using Perl to interact with LSF with the above (or maybe other?) modules and what their experiences are? That would help me a lot in making a decision here.
