Actually that won't work.

If you're using DBD::mysqlPP you need to patch it to take LocalAddr and pass it along to Net::MySQL so it can pass it along to IO::Socket::INET

bind-address= is supposed to work for libmysqlclient (ie DBD::mysql) but not all versions support this

It looks like one needs to upgrade to MySQL v5.6.1+ to have this feature.

--bind-address=ip_address

On a computer having multiple network interfaces, this option can be used to select which interface is employed when connecting to the MySQL server.

This option is supported beginning with MySQL 5.6.1.
