Unfortunately, MSSQL::Sqllib has several limitations when it comes to MSSQL Server 7.0 and greater. Be sure to check the limitations listed at the bottom of the module description.

Also, this is very odd, but the module Moonie suggests is not found in CPAN, but it is at the site he gives (a Canadian mirror.)

scain is correct, there are several limitations with MSSQL 7 and beyond with the new datatypes. Be sure to read ALL the documenation before you decide to use it. It may not be the best choice for your situation.

If you do wish to download the module to just check it out, you'll find that you can download it from here on Cpan. Let me know if you have problems.
Is this Module writen to be placed of the windows machine (which i dont have access to) or a Sun Sparc machine (the only thing I can use due to limitations set by my boss)

really I dont have a choice in the MSSQL 7 or not.. I work for "Engineering College Computing" a branch of the Engineering College located on the University of Toledo.. My task has been assigned to connect to the main college SIS (student information system) so that the college can ezily get the enrolled students and all their stats.

(kinda funny that none of the profs or "experts" know how this is done or dont want to spend time at it but they trust a high ranking student lab tech to get the job done... hum... Do you see grade changes in the future?)
