What the heck is patch.pl ?! According to the error messages, it is the actual patch saved as patch.pl. Of course, that can't work (patch). Alexander -- Today I will gladly share my knowledge and experience, for there are no sweeter words than "I told you so". ;-)	[reply]

How do I use what is specified? I have installed the windows sdk and cl and patch are not commands that do anything. Could you specifically tell me how to use the patch?	[reply]

So what happens if you type cl at the prompt? This is what happens on my system. I also have to type "vcvars32" or "vcvarsall x64" at the command line to "load" the C compiler into my console. `C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop>cl Microsoft (R) 32-bit C/C++ Optimizing Compiler Version 13.10.6030 for +80x86 Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation 1984-2002.
