I'm blessed to be a (paid!) CM (configuration management) intern. We use a lot of Perl in our build s‎crip‎ts. My current assignment is to automate (with a Perl s‎crip‎t) the auditing of our automated build. I do know how to program, but I'm definitely not out of the 'beginner' camp so this is absolutely a challenge, but I am loving it! There is no better way to learn the build than to pick it apart to see how to verify that processes have completed successfully. I am also really enjoying learning Perl. There is nothing I love more than to know a ton of knit-picky little details and trivia that most other people couldn't care less about and Perl certainly has a lot of interesting twists and turns to learn. I've only scratched the surface but I'm quickly getting hooked. I'm turning 40 in a few days so I've come to programming late in life, but I've found I really love it. Eventually, I'd like to write machine translation programs. This is a ways down the line, but it is going to be very fun (a lot of work, but very fun) getting there. I'm sure this site is going to be tons of help. Jennie
