Isn't Winspy++ a C++ application? If so why are you asking about it on a Perl forum? Win32::GuiTest has similar programs in Win32::GuiTest::Examples. You don't mention specifics of what you're trying to test, depending on the application in quesiton you may be better investigating either WWW::Mechanize::Firefox or WWW::Selenium (see Using WWW::Selenium To Test Or Automate An Ajax Website) for testing purposes.

I myself used the Window Spy tool that came with autohotkey to figure out what control names to give to my Win32::GuiTest scripts, just because that's what I'd gotten used to using. As you hinted at, using the GuiTest example spy script to get the info straight from the source makes a lot more sense.	[reply]
