Why I can't install mod

Ubuntu oS As Ubuntu is based on Debian, install the mod_perl package as described in the Debian reference manual. Ubuntu package search shows that it is packaged in the main repository, so you shouldn't have any problem installing it. Besides, the reason of complaining about `-lperl` is absence of necessary development packages containing headers and libraries to link with; check the presence of `libperl-dev` package. any reason you can't use apt-get mod_perl2 (or whatever it is)? maybe you're missing apt-get perl-dev (or whatever it is)?	[reply]

Hi, Try installing it from the Ubuntu Software Center. It will auto install all the dependencies. Perlpetually Indebted To PerlMonks Win 7 at Work. Living through it....Linux at home. Loving it.	[reply] [d/l]
