Unpacking the archive, installing the db and modifying main.settings will set up a basic setup, but it's not designed for clicky clicky users. You are right on the style of code - it's not OO. Many have a problem with this, but when speed matters, functional is faster. That said, all code must come from trusted sources. I'm aware of the disadvantages. Regards, Andrew

.. but it's not designed for clicky clicky users I'm not really a 'clicky-click' user -- I'm happiest at the command line. Your package doesn't even have instructions on how to install your system, let alone an install shell script. You are right on the style of code - it's not OO. Many have a problem with this, but when speed matters, functional is faster. I like OO, but I'm not sure it's dramatically slower than straight functional programming, as you're implying. .. all code must come from trusted sources. Well, I trust CPAN just fine, and I'm happy to build on the excellent building blocks that it provides.
