Hi, Thanks....this also will work..but w a slight correction...need to zero out $c at eof.

perl -lne'/(\d+): /and$c+=$1; eof&&print"SUM.$ARGV =$c"; if(eof) {$c=0
+}' tmp_1*
[download]
