    Seems like I was wrong! Mea culpa! :(

    I got confused by ambiguous definitions of the term "package" in Python and when browsing thru Gems I had the impression to see only bare modules.

    Maybe it's just me or a matter of practice but neither PyPi nor Gems seem to have the usability of CPAN.

    Striked the lie.

    anyway digging deeper into the differences of CPAN, PyPi and Gems reveals a huge quality advantage.

    just read some of the hits for CPAN vs PyPi
