    If it's a permission issue, DBD::WMI can't help much either. It is just a wrapper over Win32::OLE and the winmgmts:// URLs, which I guess themselves go back onto SWbem* anyway.

    Of course, the cost of trying is low.

      Sadly the cost of trying DBD::WMI is high in this case. This is a secure environment and any new modules need to go through a business case, approvals, security audits, change control... It would take a month or more.

        You got wmic? I hear its not much different from DBD::WMI :)

      If it is a perms issue what may work, other than running as admin? The .vbs example from the M$ page works fine so my user does have the rights. Do you know of any other permission bits I can flip to aid my cause?
