You really shouldn't listen to this particular AnonymousMonk:-). I recommended a manual install because I prefer it to cpanp -z, and that's the way I do it. However, you should do it that way if it's easier for you.

Yes, you do a lot of time-wasting-things routinely, and then you share with everyone, so others can waste time too

Ah! You're not truly anonymous. You are making a good case for the abolition of Anonymous Monk. Why in the hell would you care what I do if you were truly anonymous?

"Ah! You're not truly anonymous. You are making a good case for the abolition of Anonymous Monk."

I think you're missing the point totally. This has been discussed at least three times in recent history, most recently here. If people could not post anonymously, what's to stop them creating a throw away account and posting whatever they want from there? **

"Why in the hell would you care what I do if you were truly anonymous?"

So if someone doesn't have an account they have no right to respond/provide an alternate view point? I find that ridiculous. Perhaps you don't understand what the word anonymous means in this context.

Update: ** And would this add any weight to their words if they did? To quote BrowserUKs sig: "Examine what is said, not who speaks"

      Update: fixed link

I care when seekers like HelenCr get poor advice from not-so-obvious-trolls, and you're almost as famous as sundialsvc4 in that regard
