Am I the only person who'd like to be able to watch conversation threads, and get /msg'd when someone posts to a thread??

    Are you aware of epoptai's xNN program? You do need an available web server that can run CGI scripts in order to use it, which may be a barrier for some...

    ...but...

    ...it will download the newest nodes and sort them, thread them for you in all sorts of useful ways. It becomes easy to see which nodes are generating the biggest conversations, and so on.

    One of the best uses I have found for it is monitoring additions to nodes that were created months if not years ago. I pay special attention to old nodes being revived, they're the first on the list for my votes.

    mirod wrote a threaded client which he mentions in this node. However, it is down - I seem to recall that he lost the code in a crash :(

    Probably not. Have you noticed that you can be /msg'ed when an answer to your own posts is posted?
    This doesn't solve it all but at least a bit...
