I don't have that much experience, but this is how we do it at work for our internal tools. I don't think any solution is painless, but this seems to be the easiest way to go as far as compatibility is concerned and also seems the easiest way in terms of programming (man, programming GUIs is a ton of boring work). It seems best is go for Tk based solution. Make a working app and then use pp utility to convert it into a windows based exe or a unix based executable whatever you want or whatever you think would be easy for your public.	[reply]
