Polymorphic operators are a mistake with smartmatch and they're a mistake with sigilless aggregate operators too; you don't even have typeful semantic operator hints as a reader of the code.

It is time to fork Perl.

    It's time to remove smartmatch, at least.

      I think you have already made the case for something far more radical than just that.

      Almost everything added to the syntax since 5.10, and several of those added at 5.10, should be backed out completely.

      I like your cleanperl idea, but seriously doubt that it will ever come to pass whilst the loonies run the asylum.
