Question:I know that making a https connection with LWP uses OPENSSL, Crypt::SSLeay and 1 or 2 other modules. But with Windows, I was making a https connection with LWP and I did not use any additional modules - just ActiveState straight out of the box (downloaded the latest version) and connected just fine.
Can someone explain why I do not have to use any additional modules under W2K server? I have a cert installed on IIS, but that's about it.
Reason I'm asking is that I have another W2K server box I'm trying to configure for the same thing and for some reason when sending a lwp https request I get a 'protocol not implemented'. Both boxes have certs installed; however, one is from Verisign and the other was generated locally.
Has anyone seen this before?
Does anyone know the differences between sending https requests on Windows and Unix?
Thanks in advance for any comments or pointers.
