Appears its https://metacpan.org/source/ISAAC/libapreq2-2.13/ltmain.sh that does the version checking $echo "$modename: \`$vinfo' is not valid version information" [download] You'll probably have to fixup $current (wherever it comes from), so its something that ltmain.sh expects much simpler idea than hacking ltmain.sh	[reply] [d/l]

Well, I suggest changing that to 2:0:8 probably only necessary to edit apreq2-config and/or config.status	[reply]
