limiting decimal points

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hello

I have an array with elements having decimal points say for instance .0069874 , .0012365 , .98752115 ,.0002332.

and I wish to print data only to 4 decimal places

You can use printf `printf("%0.4f ", $_) for (.0069874, .0012365, .98752115, .0002332);` [download]	[reply] [d/l]

sprintf is the function you need. The documentation has lots of examples. -- Ken	[reply]
