See the difference between http://www.perlmonks.com/robots.txt and http://www.perlmonks.org/robots.txt. I believe (at least in the past) that this took care of the Google penalty.

    Hi,

    I was pretty sure that this didn't slip through. I was just not aware of the solution.

    IMHO it would be "nicer" to have a redirect stating exactly what it does: The content you're are looking for can be found at that URL. But probably there are other reasons which I don't know.

      By having two different domains (com/org), you are able to have one session logged in, and one anonymous. The session tokens are good for a single domain. If this is good or not is another debate that has been (and will be) had.
