A very useful Perl script is the "storableedit-1.5.pl". I tried to use it in a 'cmd' window on Win-7/64-bit. It emits many escape sequences. looking at the script I found that it uses the Term::ReadLine package. Trying Win32::Console::ANSI and Term::ANSIScreen didn't help.

Any monk with wisdom about this?

Update: Sorry, the two packages were not installed properly. It does works "mostly" when these two are installed as they should:

  trimming_pct => 0.05
