So what happens is I can re-try to load the xml if under a count of lets say 5, it either will work on the first try, fail all 5 times, or work sometime within the 5 times. So this isn't exactly a "solution" of sorts. Are there any other ideas that might help or have others seen this before with xml parsers?

Um, it's not the parser...it's the network...and the internet. XML parsers don't control the internet (no matter how much they try)...they can't force it to return the XML you want. So all you can do is retry some number of times and hope you get what you wanted. What if the server at the other end of the URL is down? Or has fallen into a sinkhole? What's supposed to happen then?

What? There is nothing to solve. You call my cellphone, sometimes it goes straight to voicemail, sometimes it rings twice and goes to voice mail, sometimes it hangs up, sometimes I answer and say nothing, sometimes I answer and yell "no telemarketers", and sometimes I answer and say "hi buddy" and then hang up ...

So you want to buy some "good xml bytes" through "my telephone number"? anything can happen
