A factual explanation for the non-gods, non private eyes, mere mortals et al. would be helpful.

It would also be helpful to keep in mind that there are non native speakers around here that might miss some presuppositions as well as sarcasm.

"...Hibb de Bach" Even many germans don't know what Hibb de Bach means. That's to much local color. Explanation: it's the northern part of the city of Frankfurt in Germany. Very nice! BTW: As the document refers to Goethe i'd like to mention that his famous deathbed cry "Mehr Licht!" (More light) is often misunderstood or misinterpreted.
