    Two possibilities:

    1. You do a Super%20Search for "tk threads IO::Socket" and look at few of the dozens of examples already posted here.

      Adapt it to your purpose; and ask questions when you get stuck.

    2. You post a working example -- with the full tk gui and server -- that demonstrates the your problem,

      and I'll attempt to modify it to use threads.

    3. I try to re-create your tk gui from the 10 word description and the adapt it to meet your specification.

      Maybe by Christmas...
